anyone had any joy setting up tv cards with built in satellite receivers, theres a million satellites up there and i cant get nowt from none of them

if sky are still using the astra ones then am goosed cos its not returning any channels

nowt ever works properly

i know the dish is pointled at a satellite as im sitting here watching a film on sky.but i have no idea for the life of me what satellite im focused on or even if i pick the right one its even gonna work, i have nee faith in satellite tv cards like, pure gimmick

scratch that last comment, i should work for nasa, currently pilfering every free to air satellite channel kicking about overhead, including some rather amusing arab sex channel

canny bit of kit but has its flaws and the software is about as stable as posh spices legs. i had the free to air pornies all lined up earlier then it crashed

Lee m8 get yourself an innovative satelite receier and a motorised dish , best thing ive ever bought , the amount of stuff it clears is unreal , one thing tho u need it connected to satelite and broadband at all times , the amount of footy , movie channels and xxx i get for free is unreal !!!!


also if u have cable get a dbox 2 , u wont look back im telling ya !!

the innovative was £120 , the dbox £125 , and u can get a motorised dish for under £200 these days !!!

the amount of channels i clear is ridiculous tho , i hardly ever miss any football match , even 3pm satda afternoon kick offs , prem plus ppv the lot , not to mention as much xxx 24 hours a day as i want if and when i want , oh and i get the foreign versions of sky movies , i.e germany , spain , france , italy etc all with english soundtracks , sometimes they get the films long b4 sky moies do too !!!

What do these pieces of kit do and what channels are available? I'm guessing you can't view anything that sky offers in a pay-package.. and how good is the quality? (do u use your pc of a tv?)

lmfao a motorised dish may have to wait like mate, might get one in a new house or somet. im interested in the free footer and porn like i need a new aerial connecter aswell to comelete me masterpeice then am set

its a hauppauge wintv3000hvr quality is spot on like but the software looks like it was made by a blind lad with nee talent

fids mate i should be able to use one of those motorised dishes with my own card, its a wintv 3000 hvr made by hauppauge and has a list of quite a few satellites in orbit and hauppage keep a track of new launches i think and add em into software releases.

which satellites are you currently ripping off mate?

ive jsut got this bad lad poited at astra 2d but most are encrypted by sky apart from bbc, itv and film 4 for some reason lol and the usual shitters

my dish picks up everything across the arc m8 , i get astra 19 east , 16east , hotbird 13 east, 7 east , sky digital 28 degree's east ( just the fee stuff tho ) 1 degree's west thru to 30 degree's west !!

the box i have decrypts a hell of a lot of stuff on 19e and 13e !!!

u will be able to pull the signals with ur card but wot u can decrypt with it is a different matter , ive been into this since i was 17 , cumming up to 31 now , receivers and programmable cards change all the time , it can be an expensive hobby to get into , some cards last 6 months to a year , some last one day then need re-programmed etc !!!

There's a new hd receiver due out end of june that will be the dogs danglies , the dreambox8000 , hd , twin receiver , built in hard drive , space for a dvd reader / writer etc , thing is tho its probs gonna cost over £500 !!!
