People who can't handle their drink

Which is about half of Newcastle. You can't go out these days without seeing a fight or have some charva mouthing off at you.

I watched the match at the lodge yesterday and there was a mass brawl at half time. Then after the pens some dickhead thought it would be clever to throw his pint glass which hit a guy right next to him in the side of the head! Can people not just go out for a fucking drink!? Wankers!

people who are fighting when pissed, can handle there drink, people who can't handle there drink are in the toilets or on the floor being sick, and haven't got the balance to pull off a successful punch.

there was a 40 man brawl outside ikon last night. was full on like one lad got a kicking of about 5/6 of them the bastards. i served one lad and he said cheers son he was about 20 /21 the little fool i bit my toung but if only he knew:samurai:

That's bullshit, if alcohol makes you agressive you can't handle it.
Drunk people fight without having a reason.

some people just get agressive when they drunk, its not because they can't handle it, its just the reaction they have to it.

Well agression is never a good thing and if that's the reaction you have to alcohol that means (as far as I'm concerned) you can't handle being drunk.

some people get a agressive though when they've only had a few, it just there reaction to alcohol.

I tend to get a little loud and wanna rave my ass off, i don't get like that because i can't handle the drink its just because thats how my body reacts to it.

If the reaction you have to alcohol is a negative one, like agression, surely that's equal to not being able to handle it!
Technically you might be right, but all I'm saying is people that get agressive on alcohol shouldn't drink so much.

exactly... its an INTOXICATING substance. its a depressant and lowers self control.

i still love a beer but i can control myself enough not to start fights, however some people shouldnt drink as they dont have the will power to act sensibly. just like many drugs... some people are responsible and others arent, but most have the same trend of lowering self control in various ways.

well having been on the receiving end of some drunken random who 'was having a reaction' to alcohol I think if you know it makes you smack people for no reason you should maybe do some other drug instead

thats because you don't get agressive, i'm the same, i kick off big time if someone starts anything on me to defend myself, but violence is the last thing on my mind 24/7.

Imo people who drink and fight are normally agressive people anyway, and when they are drinking it just makes it worst, that and the added 'i can take on the worldness of drinking', they just fight.

It not because they can't handle it i think deep down they actually want to and enjoy it.

If you have a bit to much to drinkand get off you face and do something stupid you normally regret it, but i don't think people like this do, and for this reason, imo they know exactly what they are doing and therefore use the drink as a way to make it easier for themto fight.

exactly, alcohol hightens their aggression... which in essence means they cant handle what alcohol does to them. its a 'tool' which gives some the balls to hit someone.

this means they cant act responsibly and shouldnt drink as they clearly cant handle what they do... they might be aggressive sober, but alcohol does not help.

imo though, if what you say is true, they would regret it and wouldn't drink as much, but they don't they keep on doing it, and this is why if they keep doing it then they know exactly what they are doing while they are drinking and therefore if they know what they are doing, they are handling the drink don't you think?

they know what they are doing of course, but handling drink does not just mean not throwing up or staggering about... its the ability to control what you do when you are intoxicated.

no one can 'handle' drink 100% as the more you have the more the effects take hold... you can build up a tolerance but that still does not detract from the fact that its an intoxicant that lowers self control.

yes people might use drink to fight, and some will be just as violent sober... but if people drink to fight its a classic example of not handling drink, just as people who are more likely to start fights after a pint are aswell.
