Is it me or is the board fastly becoming a gurn.net?

gurn.net = full of pointless posts by randoms with wannabe 'cyber' names

comments please...

erm fair point mr snarf i do agree the board is being overrun with fookn r"andom threads and!! shit pointless threads bot fook all!!! so lets sort it ooot hehehe!! and with the "waNNabee cyber names" makes us actuall cybers look a bit silly!!

when i first joined the board our chats were pretty together and relevant...no offence peeps but i don't really care if u had a bad time at the hairdressers or what your favourite sweet is...

plus bragging i'm 16 and i go to promise with a couple of drugs references is just silly, isn't it? it only takes the wrong person to read this and poof! no licence

this isn't unconstructive criticism, just a couple of longer term members using the board for what is was intended - having our say...

i reckon...more amusing and interesting chats re clubland carry on and less pointless drivel in the attempt to upgrade from junior to senior member in record time - you know who you are!

can i just say at this point...

i didnt bring this up just to cause trouble so dont start saying if u dont like it... blah blah blah!

i love the board and of course promise and just dont want it to turn into one big random-fest!

the odd amusing bit of crack and general goings on in clubland is what we need. just not loads of random posts that make me think...

On the other issues I agree and disagree, I'd be a "random" if it wasn't for this message board - as I only knew a handfull of you so called "regulars" before I started using it.... Theres no harm in so called randoms postings...

There are two types of posts which lately we've been getting a lot of which really annoy me - the fake and over the top arse kissing promise p;osts.... Everyone loves a genuine compliment - but nobody likes an arse licker... the other posts that annoy me are moaning, everyone needs constructive criticism but moaning with no real advice on how to solve the problems your moaning about far from helps promise - it infact does the club a lot of damage.

just it's hard work to find the decent threads buried beneath the random/pointless (?) ones

Maybes if someone reads a thread that they feel is pointless, they could add a (polite!) comment to say this - maybes if the threads r judged more, people will be more cautious about pressing the 'send' button!

I like the board how it is. If you decide to moderate the forum you're gonna create a lot of work for someone!

As long as a post isn't illegal or offensive then I say leave it in.

I used to post so many more messages, now it like "can be arsed!" so i dont, and Ive noticed that I aint the only one!

While we all bitching, I'll make another little note.

Why put up posts like "Its great having a cock" and then go on to tell us how good your dick is... I'm not having a go at you arn@rchy I just fail to see the humour or even how it helps the club or site...

I think the site could do with more humour, just don't think humour lies in telling us how big a dick you have... we just need to look at your shoes

As FuFu and Mark said another problem is conversations among ourselves which other people feel excluded from... If your just talking to your mates use private messages or msn... this is a public message board... if people feel like they're excluded from the conversation they'll leave the site... this site isn't just for one group of regulars - its for everyone who goes to promise...

So before all the girls who know me put up a post about "Smart E is a sexy bastard", don't... just pm me instead

this is a message board though and on all message boards there is heaps of shite written on them, and the bigger it becomes the more random or rubbish comments will appear...besides the random posts make a change from the 'arse lickin promise' comments which appear every 5 seconds
