    Post Clubbing In Newcastle??

After a recent trip to London, where the post clubbing scene seems to be going from strength to strength and has grown from being just for "people in the know" to a major part of the clubbing lifestyle down there.

This has made me think. If a post club night were to start up in Newcastle:

    A) Would you/your group attend?

    B) Could it succeed?

    C) If it could happen - What sort of music policy would you like it to have.

    What are your thoughts

Yeah i think that'd be a mint idea! No more dial a drink, no more houses/flats getting trashed (or at least messy as hell) no more neighbours whinging about NU NRG blasting out at 3am ;)

That was just an example, i'll listen to anything but it has to be loud when we're all suffering from ear ringing

My brother was talking about doing something like this a few years ago, but after looking into it he came to the conclusion that there wasn't enough interest in Newcastle :(

55000 people in Newcastle actually pay to watch football every two weeks. this is what you have to contend with. these people think being cosmopolitan means dressing up like a magazine.

Hint: put this on the back burner

That was my thoughts exactly. Most clubs in town start to empty (even if just slightly) well before closing time. I wouldn't have thought that it would pull in the numbers to succeed. Just wanted to know everyone's opinions.

Possibly. But that wasn't evident down the country, it's just a shame that it probs would end up that way up here though. Unless, like Jess say's, if it was a small venue and well researched prior to anything getting the go ahead. If the door was well managed to keep these types out, maybe in the summer and on a monthly basis it would attract the right people. And if it was only on 3-4 times a year during the summer months maybe that would make a difference!

Sadly, though, I couldn't see it working :(
