    Quitting Smoking

I've tried a few times before but i've really struggled! I know its not long but i haven't had a tab for two days and to be honest i've never thought about them. I'm pretty pleased like.

I havent had one for 4 days....proper hero

A great philosipher once said that your craving only last for 2 minutes at a time so if you can get over those 2 minutes then you are on the way

i stopped smoking 3 years ago now after a heavy weekend at glastonbury proved too much for my little lungs....HOWEVER i still smoke when i am in state of elation and i CAN NOT for the life of me break this habit. It's only like once a month but it does my head in.....

I wish i didnt need too but i do. :(

i can get thru a day relativley easily without a tab, just keep busy, don't smoke in the house - all things u can do to put the temptation out of reach.

july 1st will be hardest - no cigs with booze when out

I smoke - but pretty much only if im 'out' .... i dont have the inclination to at any other time.

There was one time when i could feel myself starting to punctuate everything i did at work and stuff with cigarettes - i reckon if you can nip that, you can quit.

Think i chain smoked something stupid like 24 tabs on the night we went to gatecrasher on boxing day tho ..... !! Not had a single one since tho.

i was gob-smacked at how easy it was not to smoke on a usual day but when i've had a nice meal out or a drink "etc" i usually have to give in. pretty pleased it doesnt have the psycological hold over me now tho.

well done tho dan, keep it up mate.

The longer I went the more will power I had, when I lasted a week I thought to myself no way am I gonna have one now after I've lasted this long. If you can last 2-4 weeks then the worst is over. Then after 3 months you're as good as quit.
