Studies going back over 50 years have repeatedly arrived at the same conclusion -- racists have lower IQs than non-racists. The average intelligence quotient (IQ) of all members of the human race is 100 on the Stanford-Binet scale, as illustrated in the bell curves in the figure below. The average IQ of racists is up to 4 IQ points less than this (Montagu 1952 & 1988, Allport 1946, Frenkel-Brunswick and Sanford 1945). The reasons this is true are not entirely clear. Does racism attract the unintelligent or do the unintelligent default into racist mentalities? An exploration of this phenomenon can be most informative.

I'd be interested to know about affinity for harder music (hardstyle and gabba) and intelligence or predjucism

Assuming there was some sort of correlation, how would you expect people who listen to those sorts of music to rate?

Increase in affinity to harder "music" points to higher rates of prejudicism.

Well I can't vouch for hardstyle but I think you'd be massively wrong about gabba.

The only people I know that listen to gabba are left wing hippy types, very far and away from holding any view that's in anyway prejudice, I bet head by head you'd find more human rights activists/enviromentalist types at a gabba rave than a House/Trance club.

So I'd say that view is probably pretty off, the reason you get so many, well, pikeys listening to hardstyle is because it's inherintly cheesy and hard german sounding shite.

Like I said I'm only basing it on discussion on a few messageboards which is hardly substantial. It just seemed like those who got involved in relative discussions and showed prejudicism were fans of those genres

Yeah I can see where you're coming from with hard house/hardstyles accesability attracting those types, it's just that I'd say gabba was a bad example. It might be so fast that you can't actually listen to it and appear completely shit but in general there seems to be loads of PLUR type talk flowing about that scene.
