Radio 1 RoadShow THATS WHATS MISSING FROM THE SUMMERS! Sat in the car today, up Tynemouth Priory with a '99' and had the radio on, summer holidays, shouldn't it be 'Live from Bognor' or something with Bruno Brooks, adam and the ants and big fun?!?!? i totally miss the old roadshows - back in the 80's i used to try get my mum to arrange our holidays so they coincided with the roadshow just so i could go - never worked like... phah - it's all the trendies faults.
erm,werent they metro radio road shows up our way?..down at whitley bay or south sheilds?..i got a free bag of crisps once galaxy did 1 few year back,kicked off,charvas knicked loads of swag for the stage
I had a huge bottle of Lambrini thrown off me shoulder at that, saw about 8 different fights in half an hour too.
i was there, and as i recall, the judge did a fine show of his technical abilitys and ruined the night for me as i complained about his fucking mixing for the entire set. much the same as the 15 minutes i sat through on saturday night - how is this bloke still getting booked? dave pearce on the other hand played a fuckin blinder! sonique was shite as always
Yeah the one at whitley bay was'nt bad at all when they had the radion one pyramid stage set up. Still think century radio should get on the band wagon though
went to 2 radio1 dance partys in southport,the fudge,mr pearce and mr piccotto,all excelant,must have been 1999..then a one at the don valley bowl..it rained but was still good the fact im now older means im wiser and go to the woods for a dance to more interesting sounds
