remember there are a lot of older clubbers here too you know, who remember the 'early years'

we just don't bang on about it.

i'm 29. i went to the hacienda. i used to go to outdoor parties in leeds in 91. i went to 'back to basics' when it was just getting big.. blah blah blah.

it's a tired record. grow and move with the scene - don't stifle it.

i was 16-17 at the time... you'll also notice my birthday is in 5 weeks.... and college NUS cards worked a treat with an 18+ stamp on.... would u like to question my character any more? i can provide proof if need be.

the warehouse was a doddle to get into, especially when u know Steve luigi (ok, not that well, but enough to say hello) who used to do quite a few of the parties at the time, and owned the good old listening booth record shop in the corn exchange. The gallery was my favourite though - much more my kind of music. i think it's called the playrooms now. Kaos and soak and the uni too were quite good crack, but i couldn't always get in there.

and to be fair - i didn't go week in/week out. i lived 15 miles from the city centre and was the only person in my village that was into the scene. taxis by myself weren't cheap on a students income
