what i would like is a beach hotel fairly close to the action and also not too far from the airport so that i dont get bummed for a taxi since I will be on my todd

You wont ever get bummed on a taxi over there. Remember that there is no public transport either.

Plus i doubt youll want to spend your time on the beach because Dubai has been the hottest place in the world every day (apart from one) for the last 2 months

But i hear they have excellent WiFi facilities over there ;)

I will be like Price Akeem of Zamunda

the royal penis is clean etc.

that would be only £240 for 3 nights including tax and service charges AND transfers AND shuttle buses etc

    good man Si :king:

Told my grandad of my halfway halt to Japan and he was like...wont terrorists come and kidnap you

My lass lives out there. Its a quality place. I went back out to see her a few weeks ago and it is seriously hot! Walked out of the apartment in the morning and my sunglasses were dripping with condensation its that hot. The taxis are cheap as fook, we were in the car for a good half an hour and it only cost me 9 quid. The only thing is when you come out of the airport you have to get into an airport taxi which already has 25 dirhams on the meter before you set off. Thats only 3 quid mind.

The best places i went to were

    Wild Wadi Waterpark
Mall of the Emirates (indoor skiing in the desert)
Wafi city - some really nice places to eat
Trilogy - the best club over there but massively expensive
    Jumeria beach and surrounding areas

If your looking for a place to pick up the ladies chris go to a club called zinc, its where all the emirates air hostesses gan.:D

Cheers! Sounds cracking to be fair. So I take it it's an OK place to be by yourself? Friendly locals and such like?

I'd feel a right pleb going to a club on my own like  "YEAH, MY MATES ARE HERE SOMEWHERE I JUST CAN'T FIND THEM"

 na you'l be alright, to be honest the clubs are mostly full of other nationalities (you dont see to many blokes in full white dress and headgear throwing shapes on the dancefloor!)
The arabs that i met were alright actually, you do get some dickheads that are rude, don't think that they should queue ect. but all of the places i mentioned will be mostly tourists and expats so im sure you'l have a cracking time.
Emirates airlines are class, better than Virgin and BA.

If you get the chance make a trip to the mall of the emirates on a night time. I spent half an hour in the car park taking photos  the amount of money people have over there is unreal.
I saw two Bugatti Veyron's a Mc Claren SLR Merc and four or five Porsches & a Ferrari Enzo

You'll only want to go if your a car perv like me that is...

    A valid question!!

    Yeah but not Dubai

I had to wait until my results came before I could book, cos I was worried about having to resit an exam you see....

So the cheapest flight is with Emirates - so it's literally been 2 days since I decided that Dubai would be a nice place to stop...just getting some info before I 100% decide :p
