Paul Lancaster's 'sneak-preview' of the night from another messageboard:

"Proper underground old skool style lock-in / rave-type thingy down in the basement.

Acid-house, prog, tech-house, tripped out grooves and dirty beats all night long, ooh yeah!!"

Just about sums it up I reckon. :D

Yeah, a new landlord's just moved in there about 10 weeks ago and he's well up for live bands and dj nights. The other guy only wanted kareoke (sp?) and shit like that. I spent all last sunday drinking with the new landlord and he's proper sound.

Its a perfect warm-up (or alternative!) for Shindig, its closer than Stereo and in my opinion the music'll be better too!!

Not sure about the sound set-up, the guy who's providing all the speakers etc. seems to really know what he's on about so we're leaving it up to him at the minute. One of my mates is starting his hip-hop/drum 'n' bass night there on Friday with the same set-up so I shall have my spies down there to check it out!!!

As for decks and that we've got a pair of technics (maybe a third aswell when we can be arsed!) and a vestax 275 mixer (I think thats the one).

    Yeah I know!!!! :D :D

I'd never even planned putting on a night until I found this place. What with the dark 'n' dingy basement and the fact its so close to Foundation to was too good to miss out on!!!! :D :D

I can't be arsed running things anymore. It's to much like hard work, stick to what I do best :D

I have monthly gigs set up for nottingham and possibly belfast. There aint much of a house scene at home. I am lacking in motivation to do demo's and stuff  I'm working on a four decks 2 mixer thing with my m8 at the mo, it's taking a while

Yeah, I've tried using three decks a few times and unless your playing minimal stuff or techno then I reckon its best to use the third one for acapella's or just teasing in a tune and then lashing a completely different one in straight away.

Haven't got the room in the front room for three set-up at the minute. And its rock trying two use two technics and a shitty gemini one anyway!!
