he's been suffering from depresion apparently! his new album was is supposed to reflect this. His reason for the depression is his lack of mainstream acceptance and knowledge.

Totally not. Its a toughen. Suppose its no good if loads of hip hoppo's love him its not making him money at the end of the day. I get why he didnt get accepted so mainstream though. He's too different for any of them

thats why he's so good. Cant help wonder though if his sound and style are a bit dated for a new generation of kids that are into hip hop? he pretty much has no connection at all to the new grime sound.

    still a total legend. :king:

I cant say I'm that up to date on it really!! I think its good to have different sounds no matter how much things have moved on. I wish people still played older stuff as well as all new. I doubt his sound and style are dated - they are just different like I said. Kids who are into hip hop should appreciate the good stuff when they hear it. Maybe his new stuff isnt as good I havent really heard any.

u reckon? i think hes been both critically and popularly acclaimed as the daddy of UK hip hop for since the mid moreso late nineties... break dance electric boogie & the message es tremenda, and i don't think either sound at all dated...

the new 'grime sound' kids as you put it will have their day.. then dissapear to whipping boy ranks..

Yeah he is recognised as daddy cool but maybe he wanted to be full mainstream or something? I assumed thats what he meant. People talking about you sometimes isnt enough - although he has loads of respect n stuff which is really important.
