Ive been a few times for free with my old company .... *sigh* i miss those days!

Anyways - San Fran is a really really nice place. Although its strangely VERY quiet. Its quite surreal.

It has a few good clubs, although the bar scene didnt look like much cop when i was out there - drinking on the east coast just isnt popular and they dont gear things around it.

Alcatraz was a bit of a let down for me, i was ready to leave it inside of about 30 minutes - didnt do much for me, although the ferry trip i got bundled with it that takes you under the golden gate bridge was excellent.

I'd say dont stay there for more than 2-3 days before you'll run out of stuff to do - its not that big actually.

Great place though - i'd love to go back and work there. Nice chilled out cosmopolitan feel to it.

Yeah, the fact that San Fransisco has a large gay community means you are going to get raped on the streets
