I'd definitely recommend him, he was class last time at Shindig. In fact both times I've seen him he's been quality.
His Nu-Breed is mint - the best I've heard (but I've only heard a few). When he played Shindig last year he played some tune backwards nd it sounded mint
All of them are good, I reckon Anthony Pappa'a was the best although it does sound a bit dated now. Klienenberg's probably stands up the best now.
He definitely needs to get back to Newcastle, hasn't been up here for ages. Hopefully this new tech-y direction from Promise will help. He used to love the place so its possible. I've heard he's doing the new mix on James Holden's Balance label. Coming out around Easter I think.
That was a class nite. Pappa was awsome. Joy wasnt bad either! March 2002 it was. First night that i met anyone off the board too. Seeing Pappa last Fri reminded me just how good he is. Blew me away!
