    Sony Warranty

Anyone know what kind of warranty sony goods have on them? I bought a sony dvd system about 3 years ago now and it still kicks the ass of most of them available today so i want to still use it. However there is something wrong with the disc reading mech in it as it jumps towards the end of discs. Will Sony fix it for nowt or do they charge for repairs?

its usually a years manufacturers warranty, you have to pay for extended ones usually

Yeh i thought it probably was even though it's sony, don't think its worth keeping then as the repairs will no doubt be a fair wedge. The remote alone i've seen go on ebay for 50 quid so split down it could make a bit i think.

it shudnt be that expensive mate considering u r gettin it fixed by sony, will be cheaper than if u took it to dvd repairs

best thing to do get insurance on it and then claim it not to be working and get it fixed
