I never made it for the afters.

Got a taxi with Brid and got dropped off in West Denton, while he went on home. Rang to find how to get to Miks house. But Mik had passed out, so Martin and Spence didnt have a clue how to get there, so i walked around and couldnt find it.

Then i started trying to ring for taxis so i could just say the address and get them to find it. But there was nowt till 6am on the first few i tried. Then the battery in my phone died. So i found a phone box, it wouldt take any coins.

At that point i just decided to walk to my car which was parked in Callerton Parkway Metro Station (about 4 or 5 miles away), hoping i might find another phone box on the way. Didnt find one for 2 miles, and then guess what? It wouldnt take any coins.

I then walked through Callerton village only to find a sign saying "Road Flooded". Cant be that bad i thought, so walked on and round the corner the road was totally flooded. Decided to try walking round the flood on the grass verge, but the grass totally sunk in and there was loads of water underneath, and basically i got drenched up to past my ankles.

Next idea was that i jump into the field to my left, and walk round the flood that way. So over the fence i went. Started walking, then heard a noise, looked round and two scary lookin big ostriches were runnin towards me. I jumped staright back over the fence, catching me brand new jeans on the barbed wire. Gutter. I then noticed the signs on the fence saying "Keep Out. Ostriches can be Dangerous."

At that point i decided to walk back down where id come from, and just take the long way round. About 45 mins later i finally made it back to me car, around 7am. That was heavan i can tell ya, sitting in that seat.

thats class, id have loved to have seen vinny getting chased in a field by 2 ostriches

I didnt know there were ostrich farms in Newcastle.

me either........dont think ive eve actually seen an ostrich in person

it progressivly got worst as the night went on, what a way to top it off tho
