    Startup annoyance!

Right a few months back I started installing XP Pro on my PC to upgrade from XP Home. The installation failed halfway through and ever since...every time I start my computer it starts the installation of XP Pro and freezes (unless I choose to start Windows normally from a list).

This causes no problems to my computer whatsoever but it's just incredibly annoying when I have to wait for the startup choices to appear then select to start windows normally.

How do I get ride of this?:)

    start > run

    type msconfig

go to the tab labelled boot.ini

if there is 2 entries ie one for XP, one for Home...

Highlight the line containing XP home, click "set as default", set the timeout to 2 seconds....

    Reboot - job done
