Just listening to it now, first track is alright, although I don't know why it's going on about 'Like the way we used to do it, in the Paradise Garage' when it's a Tribal track All the tunes sound the same to me, drums, bit of a vocal, drums, bit of a vocal, bit bongos in the breakdown, etc, etc. Probably good stuff to a Lawler fan tho :groovy:
Lawler Saw a bit of him at Global Gathering, was very impressed! Where was he playing from? Anywhere good or jus in the studio?
Re: Re: Lawler I liked him........ we fucked him off for the dodgem's though, remember? Well worth it..... hey u still got the token?
Re: Re: Re: Lawler Yeah, I do!!! I jus found it again yesterday. U can take it to the nxt GKGG and get a free ride!! lol. That was so funny! There was no way I cud have driven my own dodgem tho.
I was at a party after Freaky Dancing with Lawlers PA, he said the e-mix was done in the studio last week in London. I'm a big Lawler fan, as for everything sounding the same I dont agree. Lawler has always been a dark tribal DJ when he plays main rooms, unless it's the space terrace you hear his real style.
Re: Re: Re: Lawler Tell that to the space terrace crowd after yet another season of rocking it week in week out. Lawler is the quintessential super star DJ. Allie I can't wait for your essential mix
Re: Re: Re: Re: Lawler I only hope I'm deep enough to understand his unique deep house sound. Allie for Radio 1
Why do I get slated? I never said he was shit, I watched what I said this time and said that to me it all sounds the same, but it's probably good to a Lawler fan. Wind yr necks in
On the occasions I have seen Lawler, he has either been mind blowing or mind numbing.. He doesn't do middle ground (to me at least). I still rate him because on a good night I think he is amazing but IMO he isn't very consistant.. Just my thoughts!
Yeah, I'd agree with that too. From what I've heard on another board about his e-mix it was all good. The tracklisting look good: PLANET FUNK - 'ROSA BLU (LEE CABRERA MIX) ' (ILLUSTRIOUS) DEL GADO - 'COFFEE BEATS VOL2 (CHUS' (FLUENTIAL) FRANK O MOIRAGHI presents TRIBAL EXPERIENCE - '...' (TAMBOUR) MUTATOR - 'YER MAMMA (DESERT MIX) ' (WHITE) J GROOVE - 'BEGINNING TO BELIEVE (SANDY RIVERA MIX) ' (LOADED) JULIAN POKER presents REPUBLIC - 'WE DONÂ’T WANT ANOTHER WAR' (BEATFREAK) RICHARD GREY presents KING MASTER - 'DRUMMER MADNESS ' (ROYAL DRUMS) SAFRI DUO - 'FALLING HI ' (WHITE) MARK KNIGHT - 'ACID TEST ' (CDR) KAO - 'SUSHI' (KINGSIZE) SPOILED - 'ALL I KNOW (OLD SCHOOL MIX) ' (INTRA) CHICANE - 'LOCKING DOWN (DEAD GUYS DUB) ' (WEA) OSCAR G - 'DARK KISS ' (CDR) DA CAMP - 'AMERICAN XS' (SONDOS) SINESWEEPER - 'HIGHEST OF THE HIGH ' (CDR) KENNY D - 'RYTHMIQUE' (CDR) SUPERFLY INC - 'EROTIC CITY ' (GUT) S.W.A.P. - ' ROCK THAT HOUSE ' (SONDOS) BOMBDOGS - 'I CANT EXPLAIN ' (WHITE) EURITHMICS - 'SWEET DREAMS (UNRELEASED BREAKS MIX)'
When he was resdient at colours they got club of the year. Hardly surprising. I prefer his more driving uplifting sets than his really tribal ones. His last one at the dig: was a pants stainer.
