The Republic was great for HH, dark n dingy, but since the refurb its to clean and shiny 2 suit it. Will be interesting to see what its like tho so will prob go to one later on in the year

I think they have a belief in themselves that they can re-ignite the magic that they once had at Sundissential.

tbh looking at that line-up i just think they r playing safe, they aren't trying anything differant to any other hard event, lashes glazby etc
they just wanna fill the club and their pockets.

Not sure about the term 'safe' but it is a very Sundissential style lineup.

I would imagine they do want to fill the club & yes like most business they want to fill their pockets

by safe i just mean tried and tested club fillers, like lashes glazby, they talk about sundiss being back to its best etc but they havn't done anything differant to any other club, theres no argument tho really, because if i was the owner of the club, id book them too becaouse its good business :)

I think its more due to the fact they want 2 get people through the door and see that it is actually back and that they can put on an event without fucking it up. Trying to get some faith back with the putters if you may. Its a sensible thing to do, and if it does go off well then they can start being more creative

agreed, but i think it'll drag more of a new crowd, cant emagine all the HH heads who went when sundiss was in its prime racing to the club, but who cares time change and so do the people :)

It was Sundissential that made most of this lineup "club fillers" i.e Kershaw,Lashes, Trophy Twins etc

It also hardly the fault of Sundissential if lots of other promoters copy there format is it.

Alot of the people who went to SS 2+ years ago wouldnt touch it with a 10ft bargepole, so they will be aiming to get new ppl through the door. Prob ppl who never went to North but have heard what it used to be like

i havn't said it is, i've said that for business its a good move, but sundiss has been quiet for ages so if they are wanting to lay the mark down again, doing the same thing as every other club aint gonna cut it, they r gonna have to do something special imo because the names been shamed.

true pete, but the punters who went to it in ts prime in 1997-1999 fellout of love with it when they started putting blaggers like A* on and it went ridiculously hard.

as has been said before and will be said again politics and music dont mix very well.

IMO its prime was when it was diverse in music policy and in the people who attended not just the bastion of HH it became after devit passed away and fergie and lashes boshed the hell out of it.

Pete - I would imagine the vast majority of the old Sundiss crowd have moved on, this can only be a good thing as punters who hark on about "back in the day" are the death of clubbing.

I hope thats not aimed at me Spence.

when you see what we will do in 2005 you will realise borrowing from the past to reinvent the future aint a bad thing as opposed to this Nu direction rubbish when really they mean same old same old
