For our 5th Birthday party, we welcome Greg Wilson to The Northumberland Arms - handing over total control of the entire night’s sound track for Suono’s Birthday Basement Bash!.

Greg has been at the cutting edge of quality, electronic dance music for over 30 years now. From his beginnings in the 1970’s disco era, to pioneering the Electro Funk sound in the early 80’s, via his legendary residencies at Wigan’s Pier and Manchester’s Legend and Hacienda. Greg truly was at the top of his game, before retiring in 1984.

Since returning to dj’ing in 2003, Greg’s comeback has gone from strength to strength. Playing at such revered venues and nights as Fabric, The Sub Club, Horsemeat Disco, Back To Basics and The Electric Chair.

Come and join us with what we feel is the perfect combination for a truly memorable party – the right venue, the right music, the right sound system and with the right like minded people!.

Suono has had a firm hand in changing Newcastles music scene dramatically over the last few years, certainly opened my eyes to a shit load of stuff...respect

in fairness though, seeing greg at suono was definitely something completely new to me, that and stu is what led me to start digging for and playing disco.
