I think i'd find it harder trying to take say, a honda civic type R out for a test drive since im sure the dealerships get loads of chancers and test pilots out in those ..... i find new car places quite pretentious places so i wouldnt dare ;)

.... although, i think with really quick cars - i think if you make it sound like your in a position to buy, then they will kiss your arse. Ive never been so nicely treat yesterday with the TVR.

.... the point where you bugger off home with a good excuse as to why you arent buying is the difficult bit tho

My dad was telling me about one of his friends who did this, apparently he had major financial troubles but none of his friends or associates new about it because every tie they saw him he had a "new" car.

It was class! Most powerful thing ive driven before yesterday was a 2.0 Twinspark Alfa engine..... but this was 320 horses (the TVR was 350 but i didnt have the guts to even push it).

Loads of power which just kept on coming, unlike the 1.25 fiesta i drove to the garage where your flooring it to get it moving. Felt glued to the road as well, and overtaking was amazing.

..... im just putting together a business plan now to work out how many cowies, prescription drugs and pirated dvd's i need to sell to be able to afford one!

From an ex car salesman point of view, people like you are teasing cunts. Not literally of course..

BEFORE I ever did that job, I would have happily done a run in several cars but it would only make mine feel inadequate!

the director of a certain large bakery chain done this with a rolls, he took it out for the weekend and when he returned it the salesman couldn't believe his eyes as it had xx,xxx new miles on the clock... turned out he'd use the car to drive round to each one of his bakeries (up and down the country) to give his employees a motivational speech :king:
