It was Beeston wasn't it, supposed to be rough area of Leeds but I think Chapel Town probs wins that crown.

I was there on Tuesday when they blew the car up, i was parked a few streets away. Horrible place just west of the City Centre I think. Different world down there like..... I was tuning my car radio in and i went thru 4 Bangra station's before I got a English one.

I went for a mad weekend in Leeds for my 17th/18th?? birthday, got tapped up with a bouncer from the Town and Country club and nearly got sold to a pimp in Chapel Town.

Chapel Town is more ghetto than Fenham

I've never been to Fenham. Is it rough? I'm going there after work tonight for my m8's birthday.

Shall I wear my good kicks' or bang a pair of clogs on?

    I like Leeds

The club scene kicks arse, I used to go to Basics back in the day and I've never seen a quiet night there.

in fact, i've never seen a quiet night in Leeds and there is much more choice musically.

and the clubs stay open late, there are proper after hours clubs and the kebab shops never seem to shut.

Fenham is just off the West Road. Technically we are in Arthurs Hill.

I've lived here 5/6 years and never had any bother, but I do have a sign on the door saying 'Warning, unleashed Jeff lives here'

Would you be more concerned walking down a deserted high street at 2am to use a cash machine in either Leeds or Toon?

    Depends where you are from

The soft arse students think it is 'frightfully rough but ever so cheap'

I think it is a nice urban area, bit poor, with a big Asian Community and therefore the best curry houses in Toon.

I wouldn't go drinking round here like if I wasn't local, apart from the Leazes Arms coz that gets a lot of students in

In Leeds the streets wouldn't be deserted at 2am, they'd just be getting started!
