i got my tickets back at christmas from Scotrail (scotrail.co.uk ?) - they had an offer where the first time you book with them, the tickets were half price.

So i paid 45 quid instead of 90. You could always try there perhaps ... a 40 quid ticket might only be 20 notes that way maybe.

    After checking train times/prices out...try:

Easyjet ~ Newcastle to Stansted (Like £20-30??)
Stansted Express Train ~ Stansted Airport - London Liverpool Street Station(£18 Single)
London Underground ~ Liverpool St. Station - Heathrow (About £3)

Depends on day/time you're wanting to be at Heathrow, but for me it worked out slightly cheaper doing that than getting a train down! (Also depends on how much luggage you're taking, 'cos Easyjet are shit with they're maximum weight allowances on domestic flights  ) :)

 Don't go on the bus...pretty stupid going through London by road!!

Stansted Express takes 45mins (it comes every 15mins and it runs dead on time  )

Then the underground will take about 30-40mins (I think, can't completely remember! :dunce: )

Not much difference, but as I said, depending on the situation, may work out better that way :)

    August

Don't know about working on the railway or owt....but if Cookee needs no baggage limits then forget my plan

Maybe it was just specific to me needing to get to Heathrow that day at that time with that small amount of luggage that it worked out cheaper and quicker than getting a train
