    The Cockpit in Leeds...

    has anyone been to this recently?

    it always had a bit of a rep as being a dodgy sh*thole...

    thinking about going to see paramore play there but don't want to if its too dodgy :p

    it's a cracking venue - or used to be, last time i went years ago under the 'dark arches' - it's a cluney type place, quite studenty

    i'm not gay i just don't really think a mosh pit is my scene! :p

    MoS - is it like a total mosh pit place? or just a rock bar/club?

    they're playing newcastle too so was just gonna go there if this place was shit! :p

    but then leeds is a lot better than newc... hmmm... think it might be worth risking the mosh pit after all...

    Not been myself but some of my friends frequent there and one of my mates has played there a couple of times with his band.

    Its a decent venue, the sound is always too loud and you can get some interesting characters there and often the floor is covered with glass (one of my friends cut her foot open there). It can also get very warm in there too!

    However if thats the type of thing you're after then you'll probably enjoy it! All my friends who go there seem to really enjoy themselves! It also depends which rooms are open as well.
