2 decks allow you to play 2 tunes at once - ipods are just storage - THATS what i meant by saying load individual tunes into the RAM of the mixer unit.

OTHERWISE you'd have to have 2 copies of all your tunes.

But buying an mp3 once and storing it on 2 mp3 players isnt the same as buying a vinyl twice

but still pointless with 2 ipods - when you could store the track digitally on the mixer, like CDJs do....

Cant argue with that, but you would still have to store the tracks on a card and not the mixer, otherwise you would have to carry your mixer around everywhere with you if you were playing out.

Well ipods don't have a pitch control, so what is the point in that device please?
