I care (for some strange reason!)

I think we should get it, or if we don't, we deserve it.

    Us, Liverpool and Oxford innit?

Come on! Other two are full of scousers or toffs!

I remember when Glasgow got it and some of the stuff that got put on and the investment in the city was excellent. It will be great for the city.

they also put on some nice big clubbing events :D

I think Newcastle should get it. :)

Things like this are always bloody rigged anyway, I mean Birmingham!!?? :spangled:

    And Oxford humm......

Everyone knows newcastle (ok and gateshead) are far better. Nightnife is great, apparently theres a big art centre next to where shindig has its outdoor events, and the whole city is fresh and uncluttered.

PS. My mate at B3ta who lives in Birmingham made this last ditch attempt to persuade the judges lol, its hilarious

It should have been known as the Quayside bid.The hole bid is very fur coat no knickers. We should win the Labour party is full of influential North East MPs.

It could be a success like the Gateshead Flower show!!!

Birmingham bid will be like the Newcastle bid only showing the bits it classes as culture. I don't think the Birmingham bid will be showing places like Handsworth & Erdington just like our bid wont be showing the culture delights of Shields Rd

    *gets in the spirit*

    HAWAY THE TOON! ;)

nah, we'll win, no problem :) liverpool is full of scousers, and if birmingham wins, questions must be asked about the judging process - i think even the people from birmingham would be surprised if they won :p

    it's in the bag

Didn't it make a loss for Gateshead council? & all the so called 'in the bag' investment in the area after the festival failed to materialise. They only sold a little bit of land afterwards & the rest grew back into the derlict land it was before.
