Thrill Kill Kult - My Life Remixed Vol.1 (Red Ant) Just been sent this bit of blurb from Red Ant about the Thrill Kill Kult remix I've done recently and the compilation album for anyone that's interested.... RAR045 THRILL KILL KULT 'My Life Remixed album sampler vol 1' Release Date Sept 6th 2004 Red Ant Records are extrememly proud to present the much awaited and talked about tribute to the 80s and 90s American industrial/Electronic band, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. Way ahead of their time, pioneers of the electronic dance/rock/industrial sound that many producers and remixers have been duplicating, and has been sweeping across Europe and the US over the past couple of years, TKK were famed for their cutting edge and bizarre, yet kitschy stage show and the twisted and sinister industrial/disco sound they practically invented. Like many of their Wax Trax! labelmates, the band had cult status in the US, but were mostly overlooked in the rest of the world. While their albums received huge critical acclaim, they never conformed or sold out to the corporate side of the American music industry. Some of their original tracks from back in the day even now sound at home on the dancefloor of a European superclub, as well as on the floor of an underground goth/punk warehouse party in Chicago, but we thought we would enlist some of the world's best underground producers, and give these tracks a new lease of life. This, the first of 3 vinyl album samplers, features Paul Lancaster, Newcastle's finest tech/electro tweaker, and Phunk Investigation from Italy, who should need no introduction, suffice to say that they are one of dance music's hottest remix teams right now. The tracks are 'Leathersex', which, as the name suggests, is rather naughty but actually a lot of fun providing all parties concerned have given their consent, and 'Disko Fleshpot' which is gonna be absolutely massive in big rooms all around the world. My Life Remixed sampler, Vol. 2 will feature Red Ant label manager, DJ and producer Pete Bones, doing the honours on 'Radio Silicon' and D:Fuse, the US homegrown prog/house hero, twiddling out 'Days of Swine and Roses', one of TKK's biggest hits. LOOK OUT FOR THE FULL REMIX CD, COMING JANUARY 2005. www.clubfragile.com
