Tie$to ... christ he's gotta be the brittany spears of the dance scene right now. I got some tv rip from bit torrent with him in some kind of concert. His "set" consisted of anthem bashing two tunes, then cutting in some out of tune live vocal act, then slowly pitching up the next record for what seemed like 2 minutes in a vague attempt at some kind of "build"... ... then the new mix of barbers adagio for strings came on, to which they brought in a live violin player for the big break down which was of course COMPLETELY OUT OF TUNE. Then we get another tune on the back of that one (finally, an actual mix eh!) which he lets play out completely ... then walks off stage like he's in the Royal Shakespear Company... then walks back on and drops ... TRAFFIC. Mint. Now he's playing at the Olympics, bringing out another DVD with incredible footage of him standing behind some decks for 2 hours while being unable to mix more than 3 tunes without bringing some live act on and disrupting the flow of the music. ..... and people are coming back from Ibiza saying his sets are dissapointing When are people gonna wise up eh... its like Paul Oakenfold all over again Rant over.
Been saying it along time, tiesto's good but theres alot better!!!, everyones entitled to there own opinion, but personally he's not what people see him as!!!, armins gonna take his crown soon enough!!!
I dont rate tiesto AT ALL! He's an absolute sell out and tbh he ISNT that good! There are MUCH MUCH better dj's - plenty of em - they just concentrate on their DJ'in tho...... HOWEVER as rob says who can blame him? he has the chance to make a fortune - take it!! (ps. apologies for agreeing with rob - please dont shout at me :cry2: )
yeah thats true mate!!! dont rate him meself, but he sells!!!, he's not a dj now he's a brand and thats why so many clubs have him play!!!, at the end of the day if ya book tiesto u know ya gonna have a packed club, and thats what its all about.......PROFIT!!!
yep!!!, its shit as theres so many young dj's coming through that i'd much prefer to see but thats just the industry for ya, not many clubs out there willing to give the newcomers a chance. they'd rather play safe and book the big guns, like tiesto!!! can understand why, just its getting harder and harder to get a break!!!
He is defo losing it. I have seen some quality sets from him before, but he has lost it lately. Wouldn't travel to see him anymore, or PVD for that matter.
at this event make sure to stop by the shop too where tiesto will be modelling his latest tiesto: -i love tiesto shirts/ tiesto is bigger than music shirt. -the tiesto grill, for all your cooking needs. -the tiesto cups and glasses, why get thirsty when behind the decks, drink and show your true tiesto colours. remember to collect your free goodie pack and car sticker upon entry to this event, and if you have time watch him flip a few records in the process.
