Tiesto - UK Clubbing Dead??? Copy'd from Tiesto.com Uk clubbing dead? Tiësto - 2004-06-04 When I was reading the UK magazines lately they always wrote negative about the UK club scene. It was a while ago since I played there so I could finally check it out myself when I was there in the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of May. First I played at club Heaven in London on the Friday, this is my favourite club in the UK. The crowd is always so up for it and the place was packed and it stayed packed till the end. I played from 01.00 till 04.30 and I had a great time. It almost felt that I was thrown five years back in time in London, such a great vibe! The next day I played in Manchester which was absolutely great as well. So my conclusion is "don’t believe the hype!", UK clubbing is not dead. It seems more alive then I have ever seen before in the last five years… I want to thank everybody who visited my release parties in Hamburg, Malmö, Amsterdam, London, Manchester, Tel Aviv and of course everyone who joined me at my train trip on the 20th of may throughout Holland. Thanks, Tiësto --------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMO The Manchester gig had a better atmoshphere than the London one. Suprised he did'nt pick up on it more. He right... the magazine's have wrote negative things about the scene latley. Back aound about the fall of Crasher. What do people think about the Clubbing scene??? is it picking up? Slowing down? Same old same old? Discuss
Clubbing scene? Well...i dont know really...it would say it isnt as good as it always has been... I dont think thats 2 do wiv the people though, or the dj's but i duno.. I think a lot of the people who go clubbing..arent all there for the music, atmosphere etc..they r there 2 get fucked, but u r bound to get people like that wherever u go I think it could be improved by having i duno, something different...there r loads of ppl i wud like 2 see but there just isnt a big enough demand for them atm..well there is by a lot of people but just not enough i suppose... A lot of people get booked over and over simply because they r big names...like lashes and julesy etc.. but really i duno how many people wanna see them that badly anymore... Suppose it needs something new but im just not sure what x
Aaaanddd...it seems 2 me as though everybody is getting a little bit sick, of people over and over... Like i know loads of people who were much more up for it last yr and stuff but now there like...rrr...them again...
 And...im not saying there is anything wrong wiv booking a dj over and over...cos they obv pull crowds in etc..and i like seeing the same dj's over and over to see what they play and how they r different from the last time and stuff.. I just keep finding the same line ups over and over again on a lot of flyers... I think maybes people need 2 just try and make smaller nights bigger..and get people recognised who r just as class as some of the ppl out there now
