    there is serious pub talk, that we should give ravanelli a 6 month contract, it has got that bad. :(

    His play is only ever brought into question when he drops a bollock (which unfortunately usually leads to a goal against us).
    Even tho he's a young lad still learning his craft I reckon he is already becoming a defensive force to be reckoned with.
    Cut him some slack.

    Then again, if you're a Mackem or Smoggie I'm probably wasting my time typing this post.

    Well to class him as a "defensive rock " shows all i need to know about your own football knowledge, see someone like Martin Keown for a description like that.
    As for Bramble his defensive play beggars belief for a player playing at such a level, the incident on Saturday with Smicer was unreal what was he thinking ???? put it in the stand for christ sake instead of fannying around and virtually costing you lot the game, this is after he was at fault for Liverpools first goal when he decided to tackle Woodgate. As long as he plays for Newcastle the opposition will always feel they have a chance to score because he makes mistakes constantly and at that level you will be punished.
