Trafik - Bullet Album Trafik formed in 1999. Andrew Archer, was remixing some dance greats as one part of The Forth. The trio had just remixed top 40 hit, BT – Loving You More, a big favourite of Sasha and Digweed. Andrew and Scott had taken The Forth on the road and found themselves playing bizarre events around the world. One memorable moment being Andrew's show on the Great Wall of China, this was the first performance by a western DJ on the wall; contrary to the well-publicised claim by Paul Oakenfold that he was the first. All of this culminated in the release of the Forth's debut E.P, Reality Detached. Also featuring on this E.P was a destructive club track by the name of Solavox, featuring vocals from a singer named John Elliott. Previous to this, John was a member of British indie band Solavox. At the age of 16 he was the youngest songwriter on Polygram's books in a deal worth over a quarter of a million pounds. Melody Maker amazingly had said that Solavox were, “….even better than the real U2”. However this project ran its course and John found himself back in his hometown of Newcastle where he met Andrew and discovered his love of electronic music. John explored this love as a vocalist with Tilt in the studios of Celvin Andrew's, the man responsible for Robbie William's Brit Award winning ‘Rock DJ', all the while honing his production skills essential to the sound of Trafik. Beginning in a wash of Eno inspired cinematic atmosphere, the album kicks off into the hazy neo-rock world of new single ‘Echoes', then travels through the seedy club musings of ‘Disco Trafiko', finishing in the orchestral tinged masterpiece that is ‘Surrender'. So sit back, listen and enjoy… Singles Solavox California Sunshine Polygram/Polestar Tilt Movin Hooj Forth Reality Detached Coded Trafik Your Light GU[MUSIC] Trafik Echoes GU[MUSIC] Avatar The Haze Sog Chrome Avatar Drift Away Sog Spector Lawless Little Mountain Albums Trafik Bullet GU[MUSIC] Remixes Trafik Remixes Diamond Dogs Nothing Else Climax Recordings Fernando Lagreca Divine Fix Climax Recordings Dave Seaman ft. Watch out for their Kiss FM mix in a week or so presented by Mr Digweed. You can see from the list John is part of Avatar with John-Paul Denton for Alibi records and also Sog. The kiss mix is outstanding I have heard some of the new material and it's great. All those acid/electro/breaks fans don't miss out.
