Hows everyones exams going then? The worst of mine are over...just got 2 left now.

6 exams and 2 assignments in a month has been nasty

I feel I have underperformed like, been loads of shit going on with uni lecturers not turning up and shit!!

Think i should be bracing myself for a 2.2

nowt wrong with a 2:2 mate...

av been lucky as fuck this year (in my second year of 3) been totally assignment and coursework based no exams at all.

BUT... at least an exam is over with in 1 or 2 hours rather than the weeks of work that go into an assignment!

Personally, i prefer assignment work to exams, I really got stuck in to my dissertation, and it's worth 25% of the marks for the year...should have a good mark for that!

Thing with exams it's all about how much you can cram in really.

TBH i would be pretty gutted with a 2.2 cos i've worked my arse off, I reckon a 2.1 is where it's at but my Java work was shit...get this....an exam based on the work you undertook as a group....but none of the wankers in my group ever turned up so basically had to piggy back on another group half way through and learned fuck all.

Happened to loads of people but nowt was done like, bit of a gutter!

I prefer assignments / coursework luckily ive only had 2 exams

My last exam was 3 hours long had to sketch sections of roofs etc think ive done ok on it

ideally placement and assesed practical work is my favourite type of assesment.

but failing that ad rather have courework than an exam like!

Building Surveying so far ive passed all my assignments find out my 1st year results July 12th

u go to northumbria??? report these ppl to your guidance tutor, lad i know did this when his pertner 4 an assignment packed uni in and went back to ireland without tellin him.

he had a reduced word count for the submission, and an extention

Also, the fact that there is 2 exams for the same module was NOT formally approved by the board of assessment, and yet still nowt gets done about it.

First and second years were great but this year has been a total joke

Im still waiting for marks from an assignment from January So much for the 3 week turnaround

Lol we handed in an assignment in december and got it back in march

Thats better than us although our lecturer does spend his days off measuring rivers

In a java lecture once, the bloke talked about archeology for 45 mins, and then spent 5 minutes demonstrating the population mapping software he had written.

Suppose it cant be as bad as spending 2 hours in a planning and building regs lecture when the lecturer only talks about his Aunty Minnie and Johnny 2 Jags

In a seperate incident i went to see the lecturer about an assignment, which was explained for 5 minutes...before she went off on a tangent about how nobody laughed at her jokes anymore and that she was probably going to quit

They probably would although i did get a boat load of abuse of him for asking why his lectures were relevant

I basically said to the twat do you think i want to stand here on a thurs listening about tales of politicians

I never went back after lecture 3

Is there any kind of set up for crap lecturers who dont teach you properly can you actually get the sacked

Aye, I hope so.

I would seek to take action if things don't go to plan. Basically some of the exams im doing are from material i have taught myself.

If i wanted to teach myself i would have done an off campus degree ffs
