I'm off to the Dominican Republic next monday and I think I might have left my passport at work in Scotland in my old job. I'm goign to try get in touch with them tomorow but it's just a guess.

What are my other options and what sort of price am I looking at to get a replacement in the next week??

call the passport office first thing in te morning and get an appointment for asap. Its about 150 i think..

go to durham mate.

Make sure you tell them tho that you destroyed the passport by mistake. Like you shredded it or something.

They will knock you one up the same day if you say its urgent. You MUST say youve destroyed it though. Your looking at 100quid like.

Ask kenzil for more info. He realised he didnt have a passport the day before we were due to fly.

Remember to say you destroyed it. not lost it. If you say youve lost it they will ask you to report it to the police then get a crime number and allsorts. V. time consuming.

I'll just say it was in a brown envelope and I was throwing old documents on the fire (we have an open fire in wor hoose), and it went in as well.

Aye lol best to put it in the fire like, my brother plays football in America and he had to delay going over there because he reported his passport lost and it took ages to get it all sorted out.

Rang them and the bloke said all he could do is do a 1 week replacement service and it wouldn't be ready for monday so I'd have to reschedule the holiday? What the fuck.........

That's a load of shit, I've had a same-day replacement from them before.

I'm going to try again in a bit and just ask them straight up about the same day replacement service.

it sounds like you will need to tell them you feel inadequate with the one passport and would like 2 in time for monday

so it looks like i will be spending my summer holidays in good old blighty, i'm going to carry on searching for my passport today, if i haven't found it by tomorrow, consider this thread my virtual suicide note.

Seriously mate, go to Durham to get it sorted . They deffo did my same uncles passports in day, because i can remember him moaning about how he had to waste several hours walking around Durham whist it was getting done. Although he never lost his passport he just never had one.

got this record of achievement folder from high school, got all my certificates from work and stuff in, searched it twice couldnt find the passport...........one last check now and i saw this dark square from behind the empty folder pages... and its my passport!!!!!!!
