For women it is more than two pints in a night, which is a little worrying.

Unfortunately it being the 00s doesn't mean alcohol does less damage to your body. I wish it did though.

i'd say it's heavy drinking to the point of losing control/being sick/not remembering/suffering badly the next day

Im a complete binge drinker in so far as i drink specifically to get drunk ...... Im tee total from sunday to thursday, but friday and saturdays are when anything goes for me....

.... I think part of the problem we have in the UK is that we dont realise that our social attitudes towards drinking are completely out of whack with much of the rest of the world. I would classify binge drinking is drinking 'with intent' which is doing it specifically to go beyond the slightly tipsy stage and to get DRUNK.

Im not saying i agree with it, or its what i do or tell others to do - but thats what i reckon the answer to the question in the topic is.

for women it is actually 3 units max a night which is actually just one 250 ml glass of wine a night!

got given a "safety while drinking" sheet at uni other day, was really shocked.

I'm not a binge drinker I just cash in my weeks unit allowence all at once!!! :D :D :D
