Just with all this shite on the news and ur bog standard pig ignorant geordie attitude towards them I was wondering whats every1's thoughts on asylum seekers is

I don't mind them if they are coming here for a good reason but when they bring every fucking twice removed uncle's grandad with them its fucking annoying.

We gotta provide haven for genuine refugees, tis almost a moral duty as a 1st world country. It's filtering the freeloaders thats always the problem.

WELL....I think the people we really need to help are not the asylum seekers that turn up at Dover but the many thousands that cant get to Dover.
We should also have a foreign legion like the French then people attitudes would change if they saw the 'money grabbers' were willing to die for US.
The Council should have them doing things in the community so people can c that these people are willing to make a difference.
I have many issues with this whole asylum thing but the bottom line regardless if they are bogus or legit asylum seekers they are all here for 1 reason and that is.....they want a better life.

Think if I had the chance of a decent life as opposed to a living hell... I'd go for broke... maybe we as britain would have the option of turning away refugees if we didn't dabble in foreign policy but a shit load of the troubles in other countries is the result of western interfeerance.

In general I dont mind them at all...some of them are genuanely needy.....

I don't know my dad - he had to go back to Iraq after I was born. I got letters from him when I was a kid explaining he'd tried to get into the country through France. Of course me being 6 years old that didnt really make sense but I just accepted it, it wasnt til I was older that I found out he meant entering the country illegally as an asylum seeker.
