    Which is the correct description?

Can you lot please sort a debate out for me please?

If some one was to say that they had "been up since 7am yesterday morning", which of the above descriptions would you say were correct?

Thank you in advance for your assistance :D

I would assume that they had got up at 7am yesterday morning and not been to bed since, so the first one.

The second one implies that they may (or may not) have had some sleep since then. If they had said that they had "been up at 7am yesterday morning", then this could be applicable.
