White trash Its in the news today that ofcom have decided to do nothing about something that was said in a recent episode of Coronation street where one of the Asian characters (sunita) described her living circumstances as 'living like white trash' I wonder what would have happened if it was the other way round....

There's been loads of programmes about racisism invloving blacks, etc, so what's the big deal if some paki calls us white trash on a fictional tv programme?
if someone called me white trying to be abusive i'd be like, it doesn't really work mate its good to be white.

duh!! If they'd suggested that all whites were trash that would be racist, but just referring to white trash isn't, because a section of the white population is trash, and "white trash" is a common phrase. not hard
