anyone been to amsterdam in winter? I want to go beginning of december, whats it like?

Is everything still open i.e touristy stuff not just cafes or windows...lol

I'm quite excited and it's just a passing thought!

Need to renew my passport too

I'd imagine everything is open all year round in Amsterdam, it's a major city - not a Spanish holiday resort:)

    Are you flying?

I have been before, it's just there are a few specific things i would like to see and want to make sure they'll be open. I hope it snows, it would be beautiful if it did.

I would like a nice lovely colourful hotel to stay in too....like a movenpick or and art'otel

but that'll be pricey i reckon.

I probs would fly cos then you get more time over there, and the ferry is shit anyway
