I once was playing at the old World Headquarters and those who know it will remember the set up of the mixer on the left of the decks.

Well, I finished mixing a tune then took my eye off the decks to get a drink off the missus. I then turned back to the decks and took the wrong record off. Nightmare! :bang:

Done that at home but never during a set!

I think my biggest one is when i was playing at Stereo and I was cueing up a track, eventually realised it jumped at a point that would be mid mix....noticed on the last breakdown of the current track!!!

Had to whip it off, and get another tune on. Left no room for errors, had to get it matched asap or id run out of tune!

By sheer chance, the speeds were almost right as it was, and i got it mixed in almost straight away, and the show went on with every1 in the bar oblivious to the disaster that almost happened

Thought a record was a full side and it was only half a side....just stopped at what I thought was half way through the record!!

I was that :spangled: playing a warm up @ Soundworkz in Nottingham I tried to play a slip mat

Needless to say I was removed from the decks

the classic! "i've got loads left..look.. FUCK!"

On a different night at WHQ my mate was on and some nobhead punched the front of the DJ stand which caused the arm to jump off the record.

So where does that leave?

ive done that loads of times. And ive pressed pause on a CDJ cos i thought it wasnt playing (even the i had just put it on :spangled

some nice red lights should give it away

There is a simple answer to that mind, in the form of a Limiter.

Set it to "10 minute cut out" when a charver is on the decks

i cant stand seing EQ's in the red like, not hard to keep em out the red

I once had a nightmare that Paul Oakenfold tried to make a hip hop tune...horrible

i was once djing to a good few hundred people, then all of a sudden the lights came on and the music stopped......

....i looked up and there was my mum telling me to get out of bed or id be late for work

gutter!

i was devoed, it was going well i'd nailed every mix and the crowd were loving it, they were just chanting

"aaron, aaron, aaron fucking d" in the ere we go chant, and i was just about to drop push the legacy and send them wild......
