Nobody forces you literally - but these days if you turn on a TV or pick up a magazine, all the role models are people who live these bling-bling existences ........ then in the ad break there are adverts for credit cards and debt consolidation loans.

.... No wonder we have a problem, its just like America and all the adverts for Anti depressant adverts - sooner or later you get people who fall for it all.

I believe in personal freedoms - but when alot of people are brought up with unrealistic expectations on life, then have credit cards rammed in their faces - its no wonder we are in so much grief eh.

To a certain extent yes! You see alot of people spending beyond their means which IS their own fault.

I myself work full time and I'm in the education sector so get the holidays off. I then work throughout my holidays for the extra cash.

I struggle to make ends meet. Unless I become a complete hermit, living in one room on beans on toast for many years I aint gunna have spare cash.

Ya gotta live life a bit too whilst you are young...

Its very tempting to get into debt, in our area we have door to door salesman who knock on doors offering loans or cash and they can pay anything from a few pounds upwards But the interest rates on top can be more than 100% it must be very tempting for people to get into debt

To be honest i'm very dubious about pensions. My mu's worked all her life and at the moment looks like she'll be getting approx £20 a week when she gets her pension. As she's been self employed most of the time her income has been very variable but that as a pension is a joke.

Also my Grampa worked as an accountant from being 14 till the day he died at 65, his pensions was masses of money but got sucked back into the system and not given to our family because he and my nana were divorced!!!!!

madnees. I'd prefer to invest in something i knew would actually pay out than something that could be so small despite paying in it your whole life.

At the moment I hav an ISA and some bonds but thats so i wasn't stupid with money i inherited from my grampa.

My uncle is a property developer and these are his pernsion he says, he does stuff up, sells it and builds something bigger and better eventually this money will be his pension!

It's very tempting to do lots of things. No-one seems willing to take any responsibility for their own actions though. Personally I think it is pretty pathetic.

Nah Andy, not at all - I dont blame the companies since they will only do what they are allowed to get away with in order to make the most profit as possible eh.

Personally, i think its a policy of relaxing financial criteria that the government thought would allow more flexibility and 'self regulation' ....... unfortunately access to cheap credit has just allowed people to get themselves into alot of trouble.

It's your own fault... you spent all the cash so you have to pay it back.

Your credit rating is gonna totally shaft you in the next few years.

the whole system needs changing man. People who are trying to better thanselves and work there bolloks off are the ones who have to suffer while the layabouts and bone idol scumbags get everything and do everything they want.

Keep trying around the agencies, it is well worth approaching as many as you can. If you are lucky you could end up with a day job and a bar job at night!
