    id go and explain it all but i'll just say look up post ww1 depression in germany.

    basically they printed money to pay off reparations, thus making the amount of currency worthless + people ended up trading goods rather than money, like a basket of million dollar marks was worth less than the basket. the rentenmark was introduced and only normal levels of currency, it worked but did not fully undo the damage. in 1914 $1 = 3DM or so, in 1924 (I think) $1 = 4,420,000,000,000 DM all because of printing more money
