my ex was a londoner from barnes, i used to stay down there a lot and i loved the lifestyle and sheer abundance of things to do... there is almost unlimited choice. the only downside was her mates mistook my accent for geordie quite a few times

also, my sister lived in london for years, in places like bushey heath and then finally harpenden near st albans... again the ability to jump in a car and find something to do was staggering, i loved visiting her.

i'm probably gonna wait a few years for my career to get moving, but london is somewhere i definately want to experience properly

Going to London'll make your career move. Everything is bigger, and there are generally more options/possibilities for advancement

i've just got a good job with a good company in newcastle, once i have a few years experience and i can demand a high wage in london i think i'll mosey on down... if im living in london i want to have £££ to really enjoy it

It seems to me, we've done it all wrong. The steps we should have made were ...

1. After uni move straight to London to earn stupid amounts of money which you then spend by partying hard.

2. Meet the partner of your dreams, have children and move to a remote stottish island.

3. When the kids get a bit older, move to whichever catchment area has the best school in the country.

I reckon we've blown point one MoS ... i.e. anything we say about London will just be out of jealousy
