Was it the cockney accent that did it for you Jess?

Im moving down to the mean streets of south london next friday

Been down there all week and its fucking ace

its expensive but you earn more

the only downside i spose is that you have to do a lot of travelling

took us 1.5 hours last night to get from the pub to my sisters which is probably less than 5 miles distance

Depends, it takes me 25 minutes door (bed) to desk.. I live in Finsbury Park / Islington and work west central, about 4 miles away.. Which is the same if you lived in Jesmond / Heaton and worked city centre..

Don't move to South London unless you want to get buses/shot, which you don't..

we were in Clapham and had to get to Royal Victoria Dock

    had to change 4 times

then i realised that there was a pretty much direct route there which would have taken 20 minutes

the joys of being a mortal tourist

 I know that feeling well, my first weekend here it took me over 4 hours in a thunderstorm on the night buses to do what would have probably been a 50 minute walk..

I eventually stumbled on the scene of a shooting and a copper gave me directions

im down with the real people

at the end of the day, the majority of London is 'dodgy' unless you want to live in the stale area where there isnt actually anything. My sister lives in the docklands and it just as no sense of character..everything is too new
