Not sure, your best off checkin the timetables. You start working at 7 but they like you to get there 10-15 mins before that.

     Good luck!

The pay is shit for new starters now because they dropped it down to save money. When I started 2 year ago we got 18.5k plus 12% extra shift allowance. Now they get about £16.5k plus shift allowance.

Be prepared to work long hours for the next 6month, by that I mean add an hour onto mon-thurs and then a full day saturday when on earlys. Then 1.5hrs onto mon-thurs when you're on late shift (with no weekend production). It will be hard if you're a new starter doing this. :(

Don't believe people when they say one part of the factory is easy and the other isn't! IT'S ALL SHIT! It's just different colours of it.

as for buses hipnotizer, good luck with them mate, I started and had to get lessons and pass me test in a few month because i was scrounging lifts. I had to get dropped off on the a19 and walk 2 mile through woods at 1am because no one lived in Seaham.

Haha i dunno what a machine shop is, it just sounded like a good description of what i seen. Machines and stuff

Skill test.. thats basically the easiest thing imagineable.

Tighten up 10 nuts bolts and washers with a spanner and gun, then loosen by hand. Took about 20 seconds

Then plug some electric stuff in,

Mount a wheel with the air gun thing.

And nip up some brake pipe looking things.

Easy stuff, but ive worked with tools for 5 years so i know how to use em. (even tho a :monkey: could do it anyway).

As for getting there. Well i have a driving license but no motor. I will buy one with my first wage i spose, until then my mates reckon no matter what shift i get on , there will be someone who lives either near me, or near a bus stop thats handy for me.

I dont mind subbing someone petrol money until i get sorted. Means that whoever gives me a lift gets a few extra quid for going the same way he would anyway.

The line test will give me an indication of whether or not i can handle it lol
