Everything in moderation......I much prefer going to smaller nights where i know the music is going to be good, the booze half decent and I wont put £70 into a millionaires pocket.

I wonder if one of the problems up here is that theres less variety of venues and it turns into a bit of a routine; same people, same venue. I know I used to get absolutely sick of Foundation when we were going week in week out.

In London for example, you can go somewhere different every weekend for a year whereas in Newcastle you would run out of venues within a month.

I'm pretty suprised at that. Not really any of our business what people want to do with their lives is it?

I'd rather stop something when I decided I no longer liked it than buckle under the pressure from society to lead a so called "normal life" because I've reached a certain age.

If you enjoy something, then why the fuck wouldn't you do it.

why can't you have it all? just cos you get older don't mean you have to sit at home every night or not enjoy life. Ditto with a home and kids and career. get a good babysitter, go out on friday, don't do it every week so you bore yourself with it, don't drink stupid amounts of expensive alcohol, enjoy the drugs if you like them, don't do them if you don't. when you're out enjoy it. If clubbing bores you do something else.
It saddens me to hear the fatalistic view that getting older means giving up on fun and 'settling down' ..... some of you lot sound like you're ready for the pipe and slippers at 23. jesus.
Necking a boatload of cowies and buckets of alcohol just counteracts each other- ones a stimulant ones a depressive. theres no point.
you only get one shot at life, live it to the full, it's over before you know it.

I dont think I would ever go to a club to see a certain DJ anymore but I would go to night that is either tried & tested like Nice or go to somewhere like Retro because I know the tunes will be good.

I think its just my priorities are beginning to shift, im seeing the appeal of buying nice things instead of spending my money on gettin mashed on a weekend.

weekends would cost an average of 80 quid. I think that money would buy me a nice TV, get some fancy decorating etc.

hahaha what a sad cunt ive become:lol:

I dont think i'm getting too old for it all at all, but i dont go out half as much as i used to at all!! Once a month it works out to be clubbing wise anyway. :)

I still absoulty love it but my tastes have changed incredibly since the days of promise. Dont get me wrong i still love trance, but i'm much more into other genres now...i think thats what has made clubbing and going out keep its sparkle.

I sometimes wish i could go out more, but with my hectic job, all i wanna do at the weekends is sleep

Anderzz.....try listening to some different dance genres?? Its worked for me! :)

Why nor! Just try not to go out clubbing as much. It's better if you do it like that anyway cos it get's boring doing it every weekend. I was spending about £150 a weekend but now I'm like you. I'd rather buy and do other things with my money.

I actually have money left in the bank sometimes at the end of the month, which hasn't happened for about 5 year.

Atleast you're getting holidays though.
You'll remember holidays all your life but you wont remember nights out clubbing.

I've been abroad twice this year and I'm going to Paris on boxing day. I've also been away for a few weekends in Britain.

    Where have you been?

Then just trips to London, Brum, York for the weekend for shopping etc.... You'll love Paris :)
I'm off to Thailand in May too....woo!!

True about holidays like, i'd much rather save for one than have many nights out clubbing.

    Cool!

I think clubbing once a month is enough tbh. I go to the pub every week with me mates aswell like but i don't spend much.
