They have loads of guest mixes on all the time - they're just not really advertised

I think its only a matter of time b4 Radio1 have a dedicated Hard-dance/house show, theres alot of up and coming Dj's turing to the harder stuff and its getting more popular all the time. I reckon if it did happen the show would be a hit.
Just look at Quality, it came out of the blue and its getting talked about all over the country already!

    Vote hardhouse!:groovy:

This is why I think it should be an every night thing, then you can just flip the radio on and get exposed to some new/diffrent music.

Yeah it would be good especially since Annie N is on in the middle of the night. Suppose they have to support non-dance shows as well so it would be hard to fit in

2, Nobody wants to hear it

3, my lisene fee is not going to pay for some ket rat to play some noise for half an hour.

4, the breezeblock, Gilles Peterson, Anni Nightengale, Zane Lowe, John Peel they all play varied anyway.

    A dedicated hard house dj?

    no way.

if anything they're trying to move away from dance and into hip hop and rock... The vast majority of hard house clubs are on their arse and a shaddow of their former glory (quality is one of the exceptions).

hard dance doesn't fit into radio 1's current image, nor does it have a large enough target audience to warrent its own dj.

I wouldn't say they're trying to move away from dance but agree with everything else

Quality shows Newcastle/North East is approx 2 years behind the national clubbing cycle

I hardly ever listen to music on the radio, I may listen to a bit of Zane Lowe or John Peel and that's it. I have a good enough CD collection to play the tunes I want hear anytime I want.

HARD DANCE FANS: GET YOUR SELFS SOME GOOD HARD DANCE CDS THEN YOU CAN LISTEN TO HARD DANCE 24/7/365

All i'm trying to say is that there is demand for hardhouse at the moment, it may not be a lasting thing but there is definatley demand.

Yeah in Newcastl which is about 2 years behind the rest of the uk. Quality fills that void, but letts face it HD shouldnt be on the radio.

Regarding Newcastl beeing behind i cant wait for people to start asking me to play that electro stuff they read about in mixmag.
