I would consider Cole to be right up there, but would you not still rate Roberto as No1 still? Heinze is a very good player also, but I wouldn't say he's better than Cole, maybe in the tackle though

Heinze would never have gave a perfomance like Cole did in that Denmark friendly.

    I reckon he's a better team player.

I think he could easy play in Itl or Spn, hes amazing going forward...... Heinz tho is more versatile and is a much better defender.

    Re: Ashley Cole

amazing going forward, but V susceptible defensively.
have seen him played out of a game by playing a right winger way up, so when cole does go on his runs arsenal are left exposed, relyng on toure's pace to cover his arse.

as for heinze... jury's still out. definitely a good team player, not personally seen enough of him to judge. does play-act a bit, but sure premiership will kick it out of him

carlos used to be judged as best left back in world, same as cole tho as a bit dodgy defensively. amazing talent going forward (as well as a rocket left boot).

any fullback that has ever been rated as best in world has always been an attacking player.
cole prob the best at the moment then.

To be totally honest i would rather have a fully fit Wayne Bridge at left back for England than Ashley Cole if Wayne was playing every week fro Chelsea. I like my left backs to be able to tackle.

Bridge is just as good as Cole going forward except Bridge can defend.

How many games you play dosnt determin your rating as a world class player

he has been in the papers this week as he may have to retire this year aged 33

when fully fit and playing well he was defo on of the best attacking left backs iv ever seen. A amazing player. He played his best football before he arrived in the UK (mboro) imo.
