That is amazing! How I wish I had an RE teacher like that, I would well throw things at him on a weekend.

We did RE in middle school then once i hit high school we did 'Integrated humanities' which combined a few subjects like RE and sociology, so we covered all sorts. It was one of my favourite lessons actually but i hated it when we just did RE.

Its completley different now. I have only just finished it last year and we hardly did "religion". It was mostly about drugs and underage sex and abortions. I would get in an argument with the teacher every lesson. It was great, I always won :)

we did stuff like that but it was in PSE

Ours was called PSE untill year 10. Then it was turned to RE. Shit lesson to be fair, they try and tell you about drugs and what it feels like to be on them and all this other shit, when in actual fact the couldnt be further from the truth. Was a good laugh though  I think i held the record, I wish i could do it again :(

But I'm not aware of any other religious books which 't require those that follow them to carry out that practise... does it make any difference to you?

no, that's my whole point... it doenst make any difference to me - hence, imo wouldnt seem disrespectful to put it with the others. Not being pedantic like, each to his own i guess...

    fair play, thought so...

werent being offensive toward any of your personal beliefs like, i just feel it of no relevance to myself..
i dont mock religion, think only a wanker would do that - and on the same level, if in company where certain religious moral or practise is present, would act accordingly - if only out of politeness if nothing else...

    I'm not a muslim so I wouldn't of taken offence anyway :D

most folk aren't as open minded as you - they tend to look down upon the religious folk with a nasty case of secularised arrogance.

    nah not at all mate..

its just a bitta decency & respect of other peoples views when all said & done.. i may not think what u think, but doesnt give me the right to say you're wrong for it..
ie hypothetically, if u came into my house and had say a book or summat like that, that in your faith should be the highest book in the room, irrespective that i personally couldnt care less  id accomodate that... contrary to belief im actually quite a nice person :angel2:
