or maybe he was just waiting for his drink and the barman was being a twat, its happened to me a couple of times at foundation before.

it happens all over.

they think cos people have had a few drinks they can take their eyes out.

thing is they're not daft ether, they'll just wait till you go then take the differance out of the till, so even if you asked at the end of the night they would find ya cash

I wasn't even pissed and I'd never said a word to the barman so you get fucked with that attitude...

If I'd caused a scene I'd no doubt have been thrown out without a chance to say my bit and no doubt get radioed ahead to other bars to totally fuck my night up.

i used to work behind a bar in costa del & if customers ever queried whether we'd given the correct change we used to either balance there & then or we would take their details & ring them the next day...

the part owner used to contact them personally if we had their cash

it's not nice having people being rude to bar staff but it's also not called for if a bar person is trying to rip you off...i'd voice my views to them as well

If someone really wants to take a tenner off you behind a bar, they'll knock it onto the cost of a big round (some people like to see it as a 'service charge' like you would in a resturaunt), no questions asked, not by putting temselves in the position where they can be accused of stealing by swapping a tenner when someones bought such a small round and its blatently obvious they've stolen the change.
