    not really i get a brand new plasma with the insurance money, and they probably don't make my tv anymore so i'd get old for new, so in reality i'd get a better tv than i have now and it would be newer, you can't lose with insurance

    Well that makes any kind of theft OK then, doesn't it? And of course it will only affect the insurance payments of the big companies, which won't get passed down to Joe Public in the long run. :rolleyes:

    I thought home insurance didn't go up if you made a claim?

    I'm not sure about individual home insurance, as I've never made a claim. However, the more claims there are, the more premiums go up across the board.

    Yeah, that happens as with every kind of insurance but I'm pretty sure most home insurance doesn't go up on an individual basis.

    Some bloke at work has made a few claims and says his has never went up.
