id prefer being a producer even tho the money aint nowhere near as good, then at least you are making your own records and not just playing somebody elses

i reckon i have one of the best jobs in the world like!!! doesnt come close to bin a dj mind, but bin a teacher is a class job, at least i think so anyways!! its hard bloody work but totally worth it!! xxx

I've had my dex for 4 months now nd i'm just managing to mix, it's true u need loads of patience, me brothers wicked, but he's got 5 years practise on me!! Once you've got your dex, it'll be the tunes that cost ya, i'm always havin to choose between new tunes or a nite out!!

i think you're wanting to learn to DJ for all the wrong reasons. Most people that take up mixing end up giving up after a few years despite being good simply because they dont have the commmitment or smply cant be bothered to put in all the effort.

If you wanna dj, you should do it because you love the music, not because you'd love the lifestyle.

it amazes me how people buy the equipment, the records, etc - then sell it cause they're no good! i do it for the love of doing it - i do it as a hobby now, for my own enjoyment - and hope to be still doing it in my retirement home (probs with the same old scratched tunes like!!)

practice makes perfect - i don't think there's such thing as 'a gift' - someone people just know how to make it all work sometimes!

i've been doing it now for nearly 9 years maybe, played out a little to start with but now - it's cause i love the music - it's kinda like if i learnt the guitar
